"I am whole-heartedly committed to supporting the promotion of wellbeing and resilience at the population level by building the capacity and understanding of both among schools, communities and organisations. And... learning from them as we go!"
Lucy has spent over a decade investigating the complex dynamics of resilience and demystifying this fuzzy concept for communities, organisations and schools.
A research associate at AUT University, she is also co-director and founder of the New Zealand Institute of Wellbeing & Resilience. She combines the findings of empirical research and academic theory with real-world, lived experience to make useful, context relevant and ‘sticky’ (sustainable) change.
