Bec grew up in the deep south but has now lived longer in Ōtautahi, and more specifically in the neighbourhood of Shirley (Oraka). She studied environmental management at university and spent over a decade applying that to the even deeper south of Antarctica. Now she applies the multi-disciplinary approach to place based, community led development much closer to home. From murals in the park to a community enterprise making school lunches, Bec loves activating positive changes in her community and supporting others to do the same.
