Cheryl combines a background in education with wide experience in leadership, governance and futures thinking. She was not only a successful school principal but has been on the boards of three start up schools. She has a Doctorate in Education with particular strengths in leadership, innovation, complex change and futures studies.
Cheryl has extensive governance experience in the health, education and charitable sectors. She is currently Chair of Ako Ōtautahi Learning City Christchurch and trustee on the Food for Thought Trust. She is founder of the Ōtautahi Futures Collective and a professional member of the Association for Professional Futurists.
Cheryl is also director of Think Beyond and a co-host of the Future of Learning conference. Cheryl speaks, writes and contributes on topics of complex change, strategic foresight, futures literacy and leadership. She challenges the status quo and is a proactivist for ethical, equitable and sustainable change.
