Fiona Deehan

"I aspire to help people and organisations become conscious about how they live, lead and impact to improve health and wellbeing, create inclusive spaces and equitable outcomes"

Connecting, activating, facilitating ...

Fiona was born in Ireland and has lived in Christchurch for since 2010, therefore the ability to deal with change and be adaptable are ingrained in her.  She is married to James, a football strength and conditioning coach and personal trainer, and together are parents to Cara. Cara is the Irish word for ‘friend’ and Fiona’s approach is to be  ‘the truthful friend who challenges you and stretches you to realise your potential’. Fiona is part of Leadership Lab’s LinC (Leadership in Community Project) with the role of Action Learning Group facilitator and Evaluation Ninja.

Fiona’s mission is to help people and organisations become conscious about how they live, lead and impact to improve health and wellbeing, create inclusive spaces and equitable outcomes in Aotearoa NZ and beyond. She does this by building capacity, having courageous conversations and acting as a connector. Her strengths are her ability to relate to a range of people, her energy, curiosity, willingness to ask challenging questions with kindness and her strategic thinking.

Fiona works collaboratively and strategically with a range of fantastic people, drawing on their expertise to enhance the quality of what she does.  Recent projects include the design and delivery of a post COVID-19 wellbeing service for the Irish community in NZ in partnership with the Embassy of Ireland, the co-development and delivery of a leadership programme suitable for new and experienced leaders across business, non-profit and responsibility for the developmental evaluation approach of a community leadership programme.
