We are delighted that Robin Sutton (Tumuaki/Principal, Hornby High School) and Pene Abbie (Tumuaki/Principal at Paparoa Street Primary School) will be speaking about Leading in Times of Crisis. With school leadership experience across a range of crises including earthquakes, the Mosque attacks, and now Covid, Robin and Pene will share insights about leading teams and schools during times of disruption and anxiety.
As well as a Q&A time with Robin and Pene, in the spirit of Leaders’ Connect, there will be time for engaging in small group discussions for support and idea sharing.
Robin is currently Tumuaki/Principal at Hornby High School in Christchurch, and was previously a Senior master at Christs College in Christchurch.

Pene is currently Tumuaki/Principal at Paparoa Street Primary School in Christchurch – a decile 10 contributing school of 500 learners. Pene also works as an advisory Trustee for Learning City Christchurch and an influencer for Grow Waitaha.
Her passion is influencing the thinking and action of regular schooling providers in generating new learning opportunities that promote connection, improved equity, thinking beyond the regular classroom and valuing all experiences as learning.
